Our Staff

Dr. Chris Bamber MIQA, MASQ, M.Sc, Ph.D (Managing Director)
Before joining OLC (Europe) Ltd Chris worked as Operations Manager for a multi-national manufacturing company for 8 years and prior to this worked as Quality Manager for a leading U.K manufacturing organisation. Chris now draws upon over 17 years industry and business experience to provide OLC (Europe) Ltd with its strong leadership and direction.

Professor. John Sharp C.Eng, I.MechE, B.Eng (Hons), Ph.D (Director)
John Sharp is currently the Professor of Organisational Excellence at the University of Salford, UK. Prior to joining the University of Salford John worked for Rolls Royce for 8 years and at Unilever for 3 years where he was a Manager responsible for introducing New Technology, Manufacturing and Management Systems at plants throughout the world. John brings with him considerable industry experience and expertise, and a knowledge of Business Improvement tools and techniques that are internationally recognised.



Mick Mann (HS&E Manager)
Mick joined the OLC team in late 2005 and has quickly become a key member of the OLC team. Mick specialises in Health, Safety and Environmental management. In his previous roles Mick has carried out a range of Health, Safety and Environmental work including setting up and managing HS&E management systems, IPCC site surveys, internal audits for ISO14001 and baseline regulatory compliance audits. Mick is a registered auditor with the IEMA and brings over 20 years experience of managing HSE and Quality Systems within engineering and manufacturing organisations. Mick has an unsurpassed knowledge of current HSE legislation and ‘best practice’ and is a Registered Environmental Auditor, an Associate Member of the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment and a Member of the International Institute of Risk and Safety Management.


Edmund Bamber (ICT Manager)
Edmund provides ICT support and training for every OLC delegate and trainee. He draws upon over 25 years experience of installing and maintaining organisational ICT systems and uses a pragmatic, hands-on approach to training. With 25 years computing experience he has a vast knowledge of all aspects of hardware, software and middleware. Edmund delivers basic computing skills training right through to advanced courses in networking and organisational computer usage. Edmund also manages all OLC facilities and provides on-going IT support to all staff and associates.

Neil Miele (Project Supervisor)
Neil joined OLC in the summer of 2006. He is currently working towards an Honours Degree in Business and Management Studies, and will specialise in management. Neil brings excellent interaction skills, which he uses to work with our trainees. In his role as Projects Supervisor, Neil has responsibility for planning, controlling and improving various OLC business operations. Neil also works as the primary liaison officer for overseas delegates.

Anna Blake (Operations Manager)
Anna brings to OLC many skills and a wealth of practical experience in managing human resources and operations. Anna has recently qualified with an honours degree in Business and Management from Salford University. During her degree she majored in human resource (HR) disciplines and brings with her an up-to-date professional knowledge of HR issues. Anna has successfully obtained a professional certificate in quality auditing and holds an IOSH certificate in managing safely. Alongside those, she is a qualified first aider and thus brings an important set of skills to managing the OLC operations. Anna is highly motivated to ensure that operations run smoothly and that OLC continue to provide customers with a satisfying all-round learning experience.

Gemma Davies
Gemma is a highly-motivated, caring individual focused on front-of-house operations and is responsible for all aspects of customer care, course timetabling and enrollment activities. She is an inspirational and effective communicator and aims at building relationships to foster and sustain the OLC culture of continuous improvement. Gemma brings many skills to the OLC team and is part way through her degree course at the University of Salford, where she is studying for a bachelor’s degree in management. In her first two years at Salford she has studied many management and human resource modules and has successfully passed all assessments.

Mark Milaszewicz (General Manager)
Mark is a highly motivated, results focused general manager with management responsibility for all aspects of customer care, course timetabling, tutor sourcing, operational control and projects management. He is an inspirational and effective leader who focuses on building relationships to foster and sustain the OLC culture of continuous improvement. Mark brings many leadership skills to the OLC team and is an experienced negotiator both with unions and suppliers, setting up Supply Chains in the Far East and Europe. Skills acquired working in high value brand names in home improvement market, specialist outdoor sports products, FMCG and HGV assembly contribute to courses run by OLC for international students.

Ray Lewis (Support Services Manager)
Ray has an extensive background in a broad range of disciplines such as sales and business development alongside asset maintenance, repair and management and is an enthusiastic projects manager.
Ray is a highly-motivated trainer and mentor with vast knowledge and application of teaching and learning strategies. He is capable of teaching one-to-one, or mentoring group learners with practical hands-on learning packages. An active member of the OLC consulting and training team, Ray also works as safety consultant, asset manager and PAT testing engineer.


Terry Peers BA (Hons) MI Fire E (Training Officer)
Following the acquisition of his PGCE, Terry began a long career in education and training. This has included secondary-school teaching (to A-Level standard) and teaching students from abroad; he is also experienced at delivering training to adults, having been a team leader for many years. Terry has also acquired considerable fire safety skills and is a Member of the Institution of Fire Engineers. He brings a unique brand of interpersonal skills and a lifetime of pedagogical experience to OLC training courses.
