OLC saw many Television stars inside the college and especially on the 24th of October 20011 when the students saw a terrifying week for Fiz as the trial began.

Professor John Sharp, OLC's Director of Academic Affairs Said :"We acquired the station in 2007 and immediately undertook an extensive refurbishment to transform it into a fully equipped learning centre. Our main aim was to preserve the station's interesting features such as the fully functional County Court which accommodates up to 125 people!"

Once full of policemen and high court judges, Bolton's former Country Police Station is now home to one of the North West's most unique learning environments. Up until 2006 the Organisational Learning Centre operated as a fully functional Greater Manchester Police station. Many of the centre's internal features are protected by it's Grade II listed status including the Court room, cells and Judges' Robing Rooms, the court room is still used by the Greater Manchester Police for Officer Training.

"The Court Room, which was still in use up to 2006, is also used by Greater Manchester Police for Officer Training, and by Film and TV Production companies such as the BBC, Five, Sky, and Granada who have filmed several court scenes for Coronation Street," said John. "Our students, many of which are visiting the UK for the first time, love the quirky facilities we offer, and many have even appeared as extras in the various dramas shot here, including the latest from ITV who by the way do send staff on ICM training!"

The 24th of October 20011 saw a terrifying week for Fiz as the trial began. Accused of helping her husband John to commit murder, Fiz is petrified as she is led into court. First to take to the stand is Brian, who reveals that Fiz posed as Mrs Fishwick. When Dorothy Hoyle and Joy's solicitor confirm Brian's story, things aren't looking good for Fiz. As Hayley and Chesney take to the stand they try to swing things in Fiz's favour, but the prosecution puts forward a good case against her, leaving her feeling hopeless. Will Fiz be sent down for murder?

As part of the campaign to get the Coronation street star out of jail and back to work, a band called The Fiz Pops have released a campaign song called "Don't Want To Go To Jail".

Actress Jennie McAlpine, who plays Fiz, recently launched the single on Key 103 radio.
