Des Riley

Health, safety and management courses have been designed, delivered and assessed by Mr Des Riley for over 20 years. He has experience working as a health and safety manager / engineer with many UK blue chip manufacturing companies and in Higher Educational institutions throughout the North West of England. His last 15 years have been spent working as a Health, Safety and Environmental consultant. Des is a qualified assessor for "City and Guilds" NVQ's in Occupational Health and Safety and Business Improvement Techniques and licensed to run courses offered by the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health (CIEH) and the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health, including the internationally accepted and recognised Managing Safely certificated course. Des joined the OLC Team in 2005 and has quickly become a key member of the business.

He is vice-chairman of the Manchester and Northwest Districts IOSH branch and a regular speaker fort other Northwest Health and Safety Groups. He is committed to excellence development in the fields of health, safety and environmental management. Des is National Examiner for the National Board for Occupational Safety and Health (NEBOSH). He is currently undertaking a Management PhD with Salford University.
