After receiving hundreds of nominations from across the North West, only 6 finalists have been shortlisted. The award champions employee successes and their impact on a business, as well as employee participation at all levels of a business (a topic that has already been discussed here). On top of this, however, a business must show evidence of communication with its whole team in a fashion that encourages 360 degree feedback, and then the enactment of suggestions. Lastly there must be investment into employee training.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]OLC meets each and every one of these criteria, and in particular, our staff training and multi-level participation is something we are incredibly proud of. At OLC, as you will see in other news, we have had staff members achieve Level 4 Certificates in Education & Training, but we also have staff currently studying a Level 7 in Strategic Management Leadership, several on various Business Administration NVQs and two completing their PhDs.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”8101″ img_size=”full”][vc_custom_heading text=”Pictured Above (left to right): Nicola Stockton, Ashley Eubank, Professor John Sharp, Enis Elezi, upon completing their Level 4 Certificate in Education & Training” font_container=”tag:h6|text_align:left|color:%23000000″ use_theme_fonts=”yes”][vc_empty_space][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]OLC is a company that reflects openness and transparency and rewards its employees with responsibility and involvement across many aspects of the business; admin staff are trained exam invigilators, fire marshals and wardens, and first aiders; several of the teaching staff also are trained as the aforementioned, but are also internal auditors, and in some examples, even involved with the business’s strategy.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]A 15 minute interview will be held with Dr Chris Bamber, the Managing Director on the 18th of April to give us a chance to present the OLC business and its winning attributes, followed by the production of a video, and a photo shoot. Finally on the 3rd of June, an Awards Dinner will be held for all finalists at Bolton’s Macron Stadium. We are all extremely excited to be shortlisted; fingers crossed we can win![/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
