Depaul UK helps young people aged 16-25 who are homeless, vulnerable and disadvantaged.
Caring, dedicated volunteers are always needed and welcome. Volunteers help mentor, plan and lead workshops and assist with activities
Hub support and Activity Leader
A volunteer opportunity to work with young people aged 16-25 to achieve short term employability or wellbeing goals through workshops. The workshops are held weekly at the Hub (St Peters House, Oxford road) or directly in Depaul Supported accommodations. The workshop leader will be responsible for planning and delivering a workshop to a small group (1-4). Volunteers can choose the workshop they would like to plan lead and the location. Workshop leaders will have the support of the volunteer coordinator or other volunteers at the workshop. Depaul like a variety of activities for example; cooking, arts, crafts, music, budgeting, book clubs and movie nights
ETE Lead (Education, Training and Employment)
We are looking for volunteers to support an ETE drop in once a week at Depaul supported accommodation in South and North Manchester. The aim of this drop in is to undertake job searches, find training and apprenticeship opportunities, help individuals create CVs, write a covering letter or practising interview techniques. We strongly believe in supporting individuals reach their potential
Do you like helping people? Do you have an hour to spare each week? Why not become a mentor? As a mentor you will meet with a young person on a weekly/fortnightly basis and help support a young person with achieving well being, personal or employability goal. This could be support with application forms, finding new fitness activity or attending appointments
