The BSc in Health and Social Care top up degree programme is a Level 6 qualification that aims to provide you, the student, with the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities needed to be an effective practitioner in a variety of health and social care settings.
Successful completion of the programme will see the award of a Bachelor of Science degree from NCG
Duration: 1 year full time – 2 days a week

Tuition Fee: £9,000 per year

The health & social care sector covers a vast range of occupations and professions, the BSc (Hons) Health & Social Care Programme is the ideal qualification to give you an awareness of the Health Care sector. A sample of opportunities could be:
- Management of Care Homes

- Residential Homes
You will develop transferable skills such as;
- Analysing and selecting information
- Communicating effectively
- Understanding and interpreting numerical data

Course Details
Modules are delivered using a range of assessments to develop your skills both academically and within the workplace. An example of the modules you will study are:
- Research Theory and Practice
- Developing Strategies for Health & Well-Being in the Community
- Health Policy, Politics and Power
- Taking Control: Leading, Managing and Caring in HSC
- Dissertation
Within your academic year you will study six modules across two semesters. One module will require you to produce a written dissertation.
You will be taught by academics that have relevant industry experience and subject specialisms that will help support your learning journey. s
Entry Requirements
You must be over 18 years old and have the following:
BTEC Higher National Diploma in Health and Social Care or equivalent at
Level 5.
GCSE Maths and English or equivalent at Level 2.
Applications are also welcome from mature students with relevant work experience.
